A little about me…

The RV lifestyle runs in my family! Growing up with parents who worked in the RV industry, many of my happiest childhood memories came from camping trips with my family and friends. From days on the lake, to nights around the campfire, I look back on the quality time that we spent together, and it puts a smile on my face to this day. Change is inevitable in life, but camping remains a constant. I still love getting out to a quiet patch of trees for the long weekends and making new memories with friends and family.

I've been in the RV industry since 2008, starting my career with Trailblazer RV in the parts warehouse. During this time, I learned a lot about the inner workings of our parts and service departments, and gained an appreciation for the importance of timely and quality service.

In January of 2009, I set out on the adventure of a lifetime, travelling throughout Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Indonesia. With newly broadened horizons, I returned to begin my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Alberta in September 2009, majoring in English and minoring in Latin American studies. My time at the U of A provided many great opportunities and experiences, and even further fuelled my desire to travel the world. One of the highlights of my University experience was the summer semester I spent at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, studying Japanese literature and theatre.

During school I would work long hours in the evenings and on weekends to build my travel budget, so that by summer break I could take off for a few weeks or even months, backpacking and learning how to stretch my shoestring budget. I'm fortunate enough to have travelled throughout much of Europe and Asia, as well as parts of Latin America, and learned many things that I never could have in a classroom. I still like to sneak away in the off-season, whether it's a ski trip in Revelstoke, a month spent backpacking in India, or a Scuba diving trip to Belize, the travel bug really sunk it`s hooks into me, which might just be why I fit into the RV industry so well!

During the summer of 2012 I returned to Trailblazer as our delivery specialist. This is where I really learned the ins and outs of RV ownership. As the person who gave orientations to proud owners of a new RV, I had to know everything that an RV owner should know about their new "home on wheels!"  It was the perfect position to blend the excitement and emotional connection I have to camping and travel, with the technical knowledge I had gained from the parts department. I had an amazing summer, working with all sorts of people who all had one thing in common: they were excited to get out with their new RVs and go camping!

In April of 2013, I made the transition to our sales department, and discovered my true calling. I love this job because every day brings new customers with unique, individual needs. While every customer defines their ideal RV differently, at the end of the day they're all looking for the same thing: the RV lifestyle that I fell in love with at such a young age. Nature, travel, relaxation, and quality time spent with family and friends.  I'm proud to be a part of the Trailblazer RV team and look forward to helping you find your very own home on wheels.
